Workshop: Canavial Farewell, 2010

Oakland, California. At Mestre Marcelo Cavarinha's new academy on Piedmont Avenue, Mestre Lucas hosted a workshop called "Boot Camp: Capoeira, Music, Maculele, and Samba." Workshop leaders were Mestre Canguru, Mestre Batata, Contra Mestre Fabio, and Marta. The workshops were effectively a farewell for Mestre Lucas, since he would be leaving for a visit to Brazil in June and then heading to Boulder, Colorado in August.
